What is Check-Check?
Check-Check is computer software that understands most SAG rules for computing salary paychecks for stunt performers.
What does the program compute?
Total adjustments, pay rates (straight time, time and a half, and double time), total hours worked, overtime hours (cumulative and daily), double time hours, travel hours, makeup hours, and meal penalties. Your correct pay is shown for each of the hour categories at the correct rate. Click Here For Actual Printout
Does Check-Check compute everything?
No! The purpose of the software is to calculate rate and hours based on work times. It currently does not compute: Premiums, Holidays, Weekly Rest Period Violations (forced calls) etc. Check-Check does not compute payroll deductions, such as taxes. As demand requires, other features will be added to the software. Check-Check is for salary checks, not residuals.
How does the program work?
First you must select which type of contract you are working under. Then times for each day are entered along with stunt adjustments. (It takes a beginning computer user about 30 seconds to enter times for a daily check.) The program then calculates hours worked and pay rates according to rules for the contract selected. You can use our call-in service. Telephone us and give your work times over the phone. We will give you your correct paycheck amount over the phone and fax, email or mail you a printout showing rates and hours. For your convenience you may also fax, email or mail your times to us.
What type of computer do I need?
Check-Check is a DOS program. The program has been tested on old PCs (8086) to Pentium 900 Mhz and works well under Windows 95/98/ME. For convenience the software can be loaded on your hard drive but can also be run from a floppy. The software, including help file and documentation, takes only 200K of disk space.
